My Thought process throughout making art
here i will show my thought process behind making certain pieces and explain the ways i've made it

Storyline behind the art
during this time period it was around black history month and i wanted to draw myself embracing my curls. i grew up not liking them because they were hard to take care of. i always wondered why i could not sift my hands through them and why my hair looked crazy when i brushed them while they were dry and wondered why my hair was not as long as how straight hair is.
as i got older and learned about the heritage behind having curly hair along with learning how to take care of them overtime i had slowly fallen in love with them. turns out my hair is naturally long and i just have shrinkage and more volume to my afro.
i started this art piece digitally and first i started with the lineart
coloring process
first i had to get the skin colors down and figure out which colors would be easy on the eyes. so i did the lineart for the first layer which was on the top of the second layer i had used procreate so i turned on reference for the first layer. then for the second layer i put down all the base colors. once i was done with that i made a layer for each shading standpoint.

rendering
i am currently practicing different shading styles. so i added flowers to the curls showing the beauty in them and i shaded them so they would have a 3d more volumized look. i had also shades the flowers and gave the lineart a subtle darker color then the inside of the flower to give it a nice affect.
